Želim da mi jednog dana kamen progovori; želim da ispriča priču, kao što je pričaju knjige kojima se okružujem i ljudi koji me podučavaju, mnogo iskusniji i obrazovaniji od mene. Zašto sam zapela za kamenje..? Zašto sam fascinirana srednjovekovnom arhitekturom i njenim značenjem i značajem?
Arhitektura je potreba, ali i način izražavanja. Ona je sklonište od hladnoće, pribežište u teškim trenucima, mesto za odmor i rad. Samim tim još je značajnija kao proizvod ljudske delatnosti.Sakralna arhitektura nosi još veću težinu. Ona je dom našim verovanjima i razmišljanjima, utočište duha, riznica pismenosti, umetnosti, mudrosti i duhovnosti, simbol ljubavi i posvećenosti, koja je utoliko veća jer je usmerena ka nevidljivom i neopipljivom. Ona svedoči o veličini čovekove imaginacije i inventivnosti, ali i o njegovoj potrebi da veruje i da se dokazuje.
Još uvek ne umem rečima da objasnim šta me toliko vuče proučavanju arhitekture... možda to i ne mora da mi bude jasno. Ono što želim je da razumem ljudsku prirodu i da u njoj pronađem objašnjenja i odgovore. Slaganje komada kamena i opeke u komplikovane šare, klesanje udubljenja za udubljenjem da bi se jedan portal "vezao" tordiranim užetom, svaki potez imasvoju svrhu i simboliku.
